About Bins

Bins are the lowest-level containers in Mnemonica Projects. Bins have a user-defined name and can be associated with searchable Tags. There is only one level of Bins, no nesting is allowed.

Bins in Rooms

In every Room there is a default Bin. Uploaded media not related to any other Bin are indexed under the default Bin.

Relations between media and Bins (or between media, Days, and Bins in a Dailies Room) are established during the upload. Nevertheless, media can be moved across Bins (and Days) later. A media can refer to a Bin at once only.

In Standard Rooms

In Standard Rooms, Bins are all-purpose sub-containers. Media can be sorted into the default Bin and/or other Bins with no limitations.

In Dailies Rooms

In Dailies Rooms, Bins can be used as Scenes, which could span into multiple Days in relation to the uploaded media. During the upload, Day choice is mandatory. Hence, each and every uploaded media has a Day reference

Bins feature locations, characters and generic tags.

TIP: when looking for content, select one or more Bins from the list to filter the Media Pool.
