Users can change the email address related to their Mnemonica account at any time. To do that, follow the guide below.
- Log into Mnemonica.
- Click on your avatar in the bottom left corner of the page and choose Preferences from the user menu.
- On the Profile panel, click on Change email address.
- In the pop-up, type the new email address you want to use as Mnemonica username and click Confirm.
- Check your old email box, locate the Confirm email change message and click on the Confirm email change button (check the spam folder if needed).
- You'll be redirected to a confirmation page.
- Check the new email box you chose as the new Mnemonica username, locate the message Confirm new email address and click on Confirm new email address.
- You'll be redirected to a final confirmation page. Your username has now been changed.
- Now, all your sessions on browsers, mobile apps, and Gates will be closed, and you will need to log in again, providing the new username.
FAQ
Q: Changing my email address will compromise my password?
A: No. Your password will remain the same. If you use a keychain to store your credentials, consider updating mnemonica.io entry (username change).
Q: Will I lose access to my Projects?
A: No. All your existing Projects will appear on the home page.
Q: Will my MFA will be compromised?
A: No, but if you chose an email address as a method, make sure you continue to have access to that e-mail box.
