When uploading files to a Screening Room, Mnemonica checks the properties verifying each file streaming compliancy.
If file properties match streaming standards no action is taken. If the file doesn't match streaming standards an encoding process executes.
Team Members can decide at any time how a Room should deal with the original non-streamable uploaded files. Two choices:
- Delete them once the encoding is concluded
- Keep them in the Room
In the Room Settings window, you can enable or disable the Keep originals setting at any time.
If enabled, the original uploaded files are stored along with their streaming versions.
Inside a Room, media with the original files included are represented with the cockade orange icon.
NOTE: keeping the original files could dramatically increase the size of the Project.
