Mnemonica supports the most common file types, formats, and codecs on the market.

When uploading files to a Screening Room, Mnemonica checks out files properties to verify streaming compliance.

Streaming compliance is based on the following model:

  • Container: MP4
  • Codec: H.264
  • Audio AAC
  • Overall bitrate: 3 Mbps
  • Format: less or equal to 1080p

If the file properties match the above streaming standards no action is taken.

If the file doesn't match one or more parameters shown in the model above, a new proxy will be encoded.

Mnemonica encodes proxies as follows:

  • Format: 1080p
  • Container: MP4
  • Codec: H.264 multi-pass
  • Overall bitrate: 3 Mbps
  • Audio AAC 160 Kbps

Watermarked versions of the proxies use the same standard.

We never encode files in the Delivery Boxes.

NOTE: Clips shorter than 60 seconds may be encoded by non-specialized servers. Therefore they may have proportionally longer encoding times than longer clips.
