Known issue: Gate icon disappeared on MacBooks with notch

If you own a Macbook with the notch at the top of the display, it is possible that the space for icons on the Finder bar has shrunk to the point that some of them disappear. If your Gate is active but you can no longer locate its icon on the Finder bar, this article is for you.

How to restore the Gate icon on the Finder bar

If the Gate icon is not visible on the Finder bar, there is a straightforward trick to restore it: vary the arrangement of the icons on the bar itself.

To change the arrangement of icons on the Finder bar, just click on one of them while holding down the Cmd button on the keyboard from your Mac. By dragging the selected icon, you can rearrange its position, thus making the hidden icons reappear.

We kindly remember that if the Gate is connected and correctly paired with your browser sessions, you can recall the Gate window from your browser. Locate the Gate icon on the top-right of your Mnemonica session, click it, and select "Show Gate" from the menu.
