Lists
Mnemonica has a list-based UI. Depending on the page, lists can be shown with different layouts:
- Cards or thumbnails
- Table list
Where it makes sense, users can switch between the two layouts whenever they wish.
Elements of a list often can be filtered, learn how.
Lists are almost everywhere: Projects, Rooms, Media, Days, Bins, Users, Groups of users, etc.
Every list has a toolbar and a footer.
Toolbars
List toolbars are underneath the top-bar menu. Depending on what page you are on, on the toolbar you can find:
- Action buttons
- Filtering option
- Sorting options
- Possibly pieces of information regarding the content below
Footers
When a list is shown, the count of the list of selected items and possibly some other information appears on the list's footer.
In the Media Pool, the footer carries also information about the media runtime of the Room.
The options button
Users can find option buttons all over the User Interface of Mnemonica. The options button is represented by the classical three dots icon and is useful to open up local menus or find action shortcuts. Some of them become visible only when the mouse pointer hovers over the object.
UI and Roles
There are substantial differences between roles in terms of capabilities. As a consequence, while the basic structure of the UI remains the same for all, it may display slight changes in details depending on the user's role in the Project.
Multiple selections
To select an element from a list just click it. To deselect click it again.
Where permitted you can select multiple items using the Ctrl/Cmd-click or Shift-click commands. There you can also drag & select multiple items by keeping ALT / Option pressed while dragging the mouse.
On the mobile app, you can activate multiple selections by long-tapping an element of a list.
Screening Rooms
A Screening Room has much information attached to it, and it displays some depending on the page you are in. You can get informed on Room status, properties, and family links, directly on the Rooms card by reading the multi-colored icons.
Drag & drop
Wherever a list of objects (rooms, clips, days, bins, Guests, groups, etc...) is shown, users can perform actions on those objects by dragging them over other objects or over the drop areas which appear at the bottom of the screen when they start dragging items.
