Your Project can hold unreleased films and series. If somebody reads your email, they can sign in to Mnemonica with an email link. To protect the content from that person, a Project can be marked Strong. A Strong Project opens only to a strong session: a session from a passkey, the Mnemonica app or an API key.
The rule applies to every user in the Project, from Managers to Guests, and to all its content, watching included.
When you open a Strong Project
In a basic session, you still see the Strong Project in your Project list, with its mark, and you receive its notifications. You are part of the Project, but it does not open.
When you open the Project, Mnemonica asks for a strong method:
- If your account has a strong method, use it: your passkey, or the Mnemonica app. Your session becomes strong and the Project opens.
- If your account has no strong method, Mnemonica offers to add your first one. It is active at once.
To learn how to make a session strong on each of your devices, read Basic and strong sessions.
Turn the requirement on or off
Only Company Administrators, the Owner included, can change the requirement. Managers can open the Project settings, but they cannot change it.
The requirement is on by default in a new Project. Turn it off only for Projects that need quick access to less sensitive content.
Open the Project settings
Open the Project. Click the gear icon. You can also open the Project settings from the Company panel.
Change the switch
Turn on or turn off Require a strong session. When it is on, the Project is marked Strong.
To turn the requirement on or off, you need a strong session. In the Company panel, a lock icon in the Security column shows which Projects are Strong.
Projects that required MFA
Projects that required MFA before 17 October 2026 are Strong from that date. All other existing Projects start with the requirement off.
