Mnemonica Gate saves downloaded files in the Downloads folder of your system. You can choose another folder when the web app asks you.
Folders and file names
- The Gate creates again the folders that come from the server, inside the folder you chose.
- If a file with the same name is already there, the Gate does not replace it. The new file gets the name
name(1), thenname(2), and so on. - On Windows, a file name cannot contain these characters:
\ / : * ? " < > |. The Gate replaces each of them with_.
Free space
The Gate keeps 500 MB free on the drive. If a download does not fit, the Gate refuses it and shows a message. Free some space and try again.
Warnings before a download
The Gate warns you in these cases:
- The Gate cannot write in the folder.
- The folder is inside a sync folder.
If you see one of these warnings, choose another folder.
