Alias Screening Rooms

You can create Aliases of Screening Rooms. An Alias Room is a mirror of its original Master Room. It always has the same content, and Mnemonica does not duplicate the files. An Alias Room acts independently of the Master Room for Audiences.

Alias Rooms are directly linked to their Masters. Changes to the content of the Master Room show immediately in all of its Alias Rooms. You cannot manage content in an Alias Room directly. Make all changes in the Master Room.

An Alias Room has a slightly different icon than a Master Room. A link icon on the cards marks Master and Alias Rooms. Click it to isolate a family and reduce visual complexity.

Alias Rooms are especially useful to dispatch the same content to different audiences. Each Alias Room can have its own watermark, conversation privacy setting, and access times. To learn the daily workflow, read Distributing dailies.

You can detach an Alias Room from its Master at any time with the command Consolidate Room.

An Alias Room:

• has its own Audience
• can have its own watermark
• can control Days availability independently of the Master Room (if a Dailies Room)
• can be consolidated to turn it into a Master.

An Alias Room cannot:

• be directly modified in its content
• be duplicated
• keep originals.
