Bins are the lowest-level containers in Mnemonica Projects. A Bin has a user-defined name and can have searchable Tags. There is only one level of Bins. You cannot nest them.
Bins in Rooms
Every Room has a default Bin. Mnemonica indexes uploaded media that does not belong to another Bin under the default Bin.
Mnemonica sets the relations between media and Bins during the upload. In a Dailies Room, the relations also include Days. You can move media across Bins (and Days) later. A media can refer to one Bin only.
In Standard Rooms
In Standard Rooms, Bins are all-purpose sub-containers. You can sort media into the default Bin or into other Bins with no limits.
In Dailies Rooms
In Dailies Rooms, you can use Bins as Scenes. A Scene can span multiple Days in relation to the uploaded media. During the upload, you must choose a Day. So each uploaded media has a Day reference.
Bins include locations, characters and generic Tags.
To find content, select one or more Bins from the list. The Media Pool then shows only the media in those Bins.
