Screening Rooms are one of the fundamental media containers in Mnemonica Projects. A Room can hold an unlimited number of multimedia files, called the Media Pool.

Use Screening Rooms for streaming and archiving. Team Members and an audience of invited Guests can access every Room.

Every Screening Room has:

  • a status (accessible or not to Guests)
  • properties that let it act autonomously and modify its content.

Small icons on the Room card and in the header of the Room page show the Room properties and status. Point at an icon to read its name. The Room icon is green when the Room is open to Guests, and red when it is closed.

Room types

You choose the Room type when you create the Room. You cannot change it later. There are five types:

  • Standard: for the most common needs. Use Bins to index content.
  • Collaborative Standard: as Standard, but Guests can upload, download, and manage media as Team Members do. For more, read Collaborative Rooms.
  • Dailies: to work with dailies and rushes. Use Days and Bins to index content.
  • Collaborative Dailies: as Dailies, but Guests can upload, download, and manage media as Team Members do.
  • Ingest: to collect footage from Guests into specific uploading slots. Guests do not see each other's slots and media. For more, read Ingest Rooms.

Dailies, Collaborative and Ingest Rooms are available in Production Projects only.

Hosted files

Mnemonica supports all file types. The Player page can show only video, audio, and image files. Other file types can be stored but not visualized.
