Ingest Rooms collect a defined number of files from Guests. This article explains what you do as a Guest. A Team Member sets up the Room and the uploading slots.
When a Team Member invites you to an Ingest Room, you receive the standard Mnemonica invitation email.
Only registered users can upload content to an Ingest Room. If you are not registered, sign up first.
When a Team Member admits you and adds an uploading slot, Mnemonica sends you notifications. One says you were admitted to the Room. Another says you have an uploading slot available.
When you enter the Ingest Room, the Bins panel shows only your Bin. You do not see the other Guests or their content. The Media Pool shows one or more uploading slots, as the Team Member prepared them. Each slot shows Click to upload.
Submitting your work
Upload one clip for each uploading slot.
Start the upload
Click the add button (+) on the uploading slot placeholder.
Upload the clip
Choose the clip from your computer. Mnemonica uploads it. Repeat for each uploading slot.
Check the notification
When the upload ends, a notification says that the file uploaded. The slot shows your clip.
Troubleshooting
If an upload fails, click the circular arrow button on the uploading slot. The slot resets and you can upload again.
When an upload is complete, the uploading slot locks. You cannot edit it. To delete or replace the uploaded file, ask the user who invited you for an uploading slot reset. After the reset, the slot shows Click to upload again and you can upload a new clip.
